Fiona MacRae's paintings of table top still lifes, are a celebration of colour. From tonal greys to pulsing pinks, her work depicts the simplest objects from everyday life; pots, birds, fish, pans and fruit.
Fiona MacRae attended Glasgow School of Art as a mature student, graduating from the Painting and Drawing department in 2000. She has since been practicing as a full time artist. Working from her studio sheds in both Tiree and Taynuilt, she draws on inspiration from her surroundings, whether it is landscape, textiles, pottery or objects found on the beach.
