“Looking always at the leftover cut paper and other materials that were continuously produced through and surplus to my printmaking process. I asked myself, what would happen if I rearranged these materials and created something new? What if I introduced found materials?

In a move away from more traditional ways of working on paper and other substrates and towards collage; the found and recycled is becoming paramount to my process. Working with collage creates unexpected results for me, a sense of surprise and new meaning.

Exploring the materiality of the found and recycled materials is key to methods I want to explore. This alongside a willingness to experiment and allow the process to bring up the unexpected has underpinned this latest period of work."
